New Music Alert: FunkGhost - Caviar Taste

(October 13th 2014) Grand Extravagant Entertainment announced today the release of the full length LP by Funkghost entitled “Caviar Taste”. The 13 Song LP will be available for digital download October 31st 2014 on all major digital outlets. Pre-orders on iTunes started October 1st 2014.

Showcasing Funkghost’s witty braggadocio lyrics, slick arrangements, and deliciously plush production, “Caviar Taste”offers a mixture of Rap/Hip-Hop/Soul/Funk/R&B/Gospel/Electro/Trap reverberations. Funkghost manages to push creative boundaries while at the same time keeping it accessible and effectively delivers a smash LP.

“Caviar Taste” boasts a wide range of musical influences ranging from French electronic music Duo Daft Punk, Japanese vocal/Hip-hop/instrumental group TAMAONSEN, The late Jazz composer/pianist Weldon Irvine, Kanye West, and Marvin Gaye to name a few. “I wanted the album’s overall feel to reflect my personal tastes and opinions” insists Funkghost. The album’s subject matter explores consumer and pop culture, race, religion, relationships, and personal life assessment.

“Calling to mind a bit of Kanye, only with less passive-aggressive megalomania, “Caviar Taste” is smart, fun, accessible, original, quirky, and possessed of an irresistible melodic structure. It’s got biting cred, ass-shaking grooves, but is also the kind of idiosyncratic thing fans of recent envelope-pushing peers like Pharrell, and the aforementioned Luis Vuitton Don will take to immediately” – Colin Kincaid – REAX Magazine

"Caviar Taste is a breath of fresh air to the music airwaves.. Now there are cocky vibes in a few songs like Xtra Fly but it is done in a tasteful way that makes you vibe/relate to it. As a whole the project is  well put together and every track seems to flow right into the next. Make sure to play "Xtra Fly, YSL Logo, and Talk That at aggressive volumes and just vibe out. FunkGhost really outdid himself with this musical offering here.  - Bam of Bam Vs Media

Too Good at Goodbyes - Sam Smith (cover by @MattBloyd)

When ya new favorite voice covers one of ya favorite voices!!!! Thats exactly what happened when Matt Bloyd chose to cover Sam Smith's new song "Too Good At Goodbyes" it feels a lot warmer then the original that haunts us when Sam sings it. We love how Matt put his own  twist on it and showed off that killer range that made us a fan from the  first day we heard him. Here is what Matt had to say about choosing the cover I am a huge fan of Sam Smith's voice and his artistry. After a two year hiatus, Sam is back with "Too Good at Goodbyes" and I could not be more excited. He's truly an inspiration. When I heard this song I KNEW I had to cover it and got right on it. Hope you love my take on this JAM. Music Video: Kerli - Zero Gravity

Anybody that knows me knows I am a huge Kerli fan since the love is dead album. But for some you may know her as the writer behind skycraper by demi lovato. Her style has always been futuristic/gothic/and cartoonish at times but it always dope. Check out her video Zero Gravity below Buy it now

Mental Clarity reviews: Where the Wild Things Are

First let me start off by saying that this movie was NOT intended for kids. The director himself stated this fact when people mainly parents were complaining that it was too sad and not kid friendly. The movie was geared towards adults that grew up on the book in the 60’s. Now with that said the movie was good. It had a very sad underlining tone to it. You can tell by the way the actors behaved towards one another along with the scenery in the movie. It was a very tan-ish scene going on. There were a few times I became bored and was ready to fall sleep but I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. The monsters in the movie seemed so angry. In the movie adaption you can since a love lost between the two monsters even with the boy and his family with the shots of things his father gave him but no father. There is not much I can say because I had mixed feelings about this movie. As I’m sure a lot of people have. The best thing I can say is ignore the book when you see this movie, but do see the
