Artist Spotlight: Kev Beatz (@KevBeatz )

My name is Kevin Boyd. I go by the name of Kev Beatz. I am 16 years
old. I am easy to get along with, and willing to learn and teach
people things that I know. I am a fast learner. I am also patient with
others. I am hard working, and will go above and beyond to get the job
done. There was many nights I stayed up all night to get a beat done
or mix down a song. I'm from Philadelphia PA. I loved music all my
life but the pass few years I grew a stronger passion for it. I knew I
wanted to grow more in music when I downloaded a free music program
called mixcraft and I was putting sounds together on there to make a
beat. Since then I advanced in making music and have been making it
since. I have closely worked with many artist and producers. Some
artist includes Dub Mugga, Mizzy Corleone, Bless Watson, Showtyme and
Bhive. Some producers I have worked with are Quan Beats, Ocho, and
Mello Mod. I have also taught others how to make a beat, and how to
mix a song. I have many different styles of beats i can produce but
the style i like the most and is best at is trap beats. I also played
a small part in the movie Must Be The Music directed by Charles
Dutton. I plan on making music all my life. I don't make music to get
famous, I make music because I love it. Also I have a desire to help
others that are into music and teach them as they come along. However
I wouldn't mind music becoming my career.

Too Good at Goodbyes - Sam Smith (cover by @MattBloyd)

When ya new favorite voice covers one of ya favorite voices!!!! Thats exactly what happened when Matt Bloyd chose to cover Sam Smith's new song "Too Good At Goodbyes" it feels a lot warmer then the original that haunts us when Sam sings it. We love how Matt put his own  twist on it and showed off that killer range that made us a fan from the  first day we heard him. Here is what Matt had to say about choosing the cover I am a huge fan of Sam Smith's voice and his artistry. After a two year hiatus, Sam is back with "Too Good at Goodbyes" and I could not be more excited. He's truly an inspiration. When I heard this song I KNEW I had to cover it and got right on it. Hope you love my take on this JAM.
