Spotlight Artist: BVM Interviews Anthony Q ( @Que_thafuture )

BVM was granted the opportunity to interview Anthony Q (Some will know him as Que from Day26) In our interview we learned that he has new music, a jewelry line, and is now the face of a clothing line. He is moving full throttle to make 2013 a good year for himself. Check out the Interview below.

BVM: WHAT'S THE FIRST SONG YOU EVER REMEMBER HEARING?

Que: The first song that I heard I would probably have to say Mariah Carey's song Hero. You can go on youtube and see a clip of me singing the song in Kindergarden. My youtube Account is 1anthonyQ for those of you interested in youtube and I got a standing ovation. So I would say Hero by Mariah Carey would be the first song.

BVM: WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO LATELY?

Que: I listen to brandy, Beyonce, Frank Ocean is Amazing, Miguel, Usher..I'm probably up to date with alot of artist that you listen to like trey songz is another Amazing artist. I still listen  to day26 because I believe that they were..Excuse me we were a really dope group musically. So I just listen to alot of people that evolve musically to the next level. Gospel wise I listen to Kim Burrell. I'm a big fan of Kim Burrell.

BVM: AS A SOLOIST DO YOU FIND IT EASIER TO PICK YOUR OWN SOUND?

Que: It wasn't that difficult of a task in being in a group. That was mad fun so I don't wanna push that off like the group thing wasn't amazing. Being a solo artist is also fun to because I get alot of creative control and I'm able to go into the studio and do alot of different things with my music. It's fun being a solo artist just because you can create your own music. Like if your really good at thinking (up music) you can really come out with some good stuff you know what I mean.

BVM: WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR SONG "MEDICINE" ?

Que: That song was written by Phil and Lil Mo And I'm pretty sure they had a really good meaning behind the song. When I heard it I thought it was an Amazing joint and I wanted to record it as soon as I heard it in the studio. They was like I got this dope joint and I was like let me hear it, they played it and I was like can i record it and they was like yeah. Thats how amazing I thought that record was. Im pretty sure they had a deep meaning behind it because the song is dope.

BVM: FIRST CONGRATS ON BECOMING THE FACE OF THREADZ CLOTHING BOUTIQUE..HOW DID THAT COME TO BE AND WHERE CAN PEOPLE BUY THEIR CLOTHING?

Que: Yeah I just became the face of a Clothing Company Boutique in Atlanta called Threadz and its really dope. It has alot of cool urban stuff in there that I'm sure alot of young adults,Adults, and kids will like. It reminds me of a newer Urban Outfitters. It has alot of things like if your into Skatboards, racing cars, camoflauge and stuff like that you will like it. The Online store link is http://www.threadzatlanta.com  It's reasonable prices  and I'm damn sure yall are gonna like it. I have pictures of some of the items on my twitter at https://twitter.com/que_thafuture for those of you that have twitter you can click the pictures and see some of the pieces. Hopefully we can expand it if we get the word around and have like a ThreadzNYC, ThreadzUK,ThreadzJapan,ThreadzAustralia and mass market it

BVM: ALSO WE HEAR THAT YOU HAVE A JEWELRY LINE AS WELL?

Que: Yes I do have a bracelette Line and it's really dope. They are like wood and marble pieces that we are putting together. I still haven't came up with an official design yet but we are in the works of doing that. Think I will have some wood pieces, marble pieces, and some metal pieces. They are like junk yard vintage. BVM: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR NEW SINGLE "MONEY BAGS" ?

Que: Its definately a club record and I know all of the youth are going to be into it because its a up tempo beat, like a dance record and we are releasing it in October. You are really going to like it (Sings the chorus) and the verse is really up tempo.  When you hear it you will wanna dance.

BVM: HOW CAN YOUR FANS KEEP UP WITH YOU AND UPCOMING EVENTS?

Que: Besides twitter I'm on Facebook at Qwanell Mosely. I am always on twitter and if you need to connect with me you can hit me up there or at aqsky1@gmail.com We usually respond to every email. I love to be connected to my fans, I try to stay connected them as much as I can because without them none of this would be possible. Would also like to thank my new management team because without them I wouldn't be where I am today.

 BVM: WHAT'S NEXT FOR YOU?

Que: First an Album after we get the single "Money Bags" out in October. We are working on a Album in Atlanta for 2013. I am definately going to give you guys an Album next and then a tour.

BVM: FOR THAT TOUR CAN YOU MAKE SURE YOU ADD PHILLY?

QUE: Oh Heck yeah of course. You know how to keep me in the loop of things, tell everyone to call their radio stations and request my music and for me to come to their city. If they get enough requests they'll hit up my managment team and invite me to come perform.

Too Good at Goodbyes - Sam Smith (cover by @MattBloyd)

When ya new favorite voice covers one of ya favorite voices!!!! Thats exactly what happened when Matt Bloyd chose to cover Sam Smith's new song "Too Good At Goodbyes" it feels a lot warmer then the original that haunts us when Sam sings it. We love how Matt put his own  twist on it and showed off that killer range that made us a fan from the  first day we heard him. Here is what Matt had to say about choosing the cover I am a huge fan of Sam Smith's voice and his artistry. After a two year hiatus, Sam is back with "Too Good at Goodbyes" and I could not be more excited. He's truly an inspiration. When I heard this song I KNEW I had to cover it and got right on it. Hope you love my take on this JAM.
