Bam's Artist to look out for: Ahmir

From the streets of Boston, Philadelphia, and New York, AHMIR is the premiere, up and coming male R&B group. "They're Next" is the fitting title Billboard Magazine labeled this R&B foursome. Coming onto the scene a few years ago, their first single "Welcome To My Party" peaked at number 82 on the Billboard Hot R&B / Hip Hop Songs chart and became the number 19 Top Selling R&B Hip Hop Single. That same year, AHMIR won the annual "We Hear The Future" Competition at the Billboard R&B Hip Hop Conference in Atlanta topping the efforts by hundreds of new artists worldwide.

Recently, you may have seen AHMIR win the R&B group competition on BET’s number 1 rated TV show 106 & Park or as a Top 35 finalist on NBC’s hit summer show “America’s Got Talent”. AHMIR has even been featured in VIBE magazine as an artist to watch. The group’s popularity has catapulted them to performances in U.S. arenas such as the TD Banknorth Arena in Boston, MA, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA and the XL Arena in Hartford, CT. AHMIR has stormed the global market as well by headlining tours through 12 cities in Europe. Further solidifying their growing popularity, AHMIR is THE MOST POPULAR R&B GROUP on YouTube garnering millions of video views through their unique covers and remixes. With the launch of their brand new single “Don’t Stop Believin” co-produced by Full Force (Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake & ‘N Sync) AHMIR is poised to continue their winning ways to achieve new heights in the music industry and become one of the top R&B groups in the U.S. and beyond

Too Good at Goodbyes - Sam Smith (cover by @MattBloyd)

When ya new favorite voice covers one of ya favorite voices!!!! Thats exactly what happened when Matt Bloyd chose to cover Sam Smith's new song "Too Good At Goodbyes" it feels a lot warmer then the original that haunts us when Sam sings it. We love how Matt put his own  twist on it and showed off that killer range that made us a fan from the  first day we heard him.

Here is what Matt had to say about choosing the cover

I am a huge fan of Sam Smith's voice and his artistry. After a two year hiatus, Sam is back with "Too Good at Goodbyes" and I could not be more excited. He's truly an inspiration. When I heard this song I KNEW I had to cover it and got right on it. Hope you love my take on this JAM.
