3.1 Software for iphone released today

I kno alot of you been waiting for this update to drop but its still a wait for MMS(9/25/09) but to the 3.1 software that is out now

The 3.1 software includes a handful of new features and bug fixes.

With over 75,000 apps in the App Store, it can be difficult to find new applications. Apple’s extended its Genius media-recommendation algorithm to iPhone applications. It looks at the apps you already own and makes recommendations based on that information.

In addition iPhone 3.1 beefs up the iPhone’s ringtone capability, allowing you to download over 30,000 ringtones from major labels via a Ringtones section in the iPhone’s iTunes application. Ringtones will cost $1.29 apiece, and automatically show up in the iPhone’s Settings once they’ve been downloaded.

Also included in the iPhone OS 3.1 update are a number of iTunes 9-related features, such as support for Genius Mixes, automatically generated playlists of tracks based on your library; the ability to organize applications on your iPhone's Home screen in iTunes; new syncing options for music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and photos; and iTunes U content organization.

Furthermore, iPhone 3.1 brings with it the ability to redeem iTunes gift cards, codes, and certificates in the App Store (a feature that briefly appeared in iPhone 3.0 then later disappeared) as well as a way to view available iTunes account credits in both the App Store and iTunes Store.

Video features get a couple of new additions in 3.1 with the ability to save videos from both Mail and MMS into the Camera Roll (U.S. users will have to wait for AT&T to roll out MMS functionality on September 25 in order to use the latter). You can also now save a copy of a trimmed video clip, which avoids overriding the original clip.

On the iPhone 3GS, Voice Control is now accessible via a Bluetooth headset and there's an option to use the 3GS's Home button to activate Accessibility features.

There are a number of other enhancements and bug fixes included in the release, including a patch for an issue that could cause application icons to display incorrectly.

iPhone 3.1 is free for all iPhone and iPod touch owners and is available as soon as you can get home or to your computer to update your iphone lol :-)

Artist to look out for: Jasmyne Hinson

The “entertainer bug” bit Jasmyne at the age of 2 when she sang her first solo in church. A couple years later, she was enrolled in performing arts school where the seed of her stage presence was planted. At the age of 15 the cultivation of her studio experience began at PARC studios with her first manager Dexter Redding, the son of the late Otis Redding. Throughout her high school years Jasmyne began to work with a diverse group of producers, engineers and writers. Honing in on her niche as an artist, most of her free time was spent in the studio. While adapting to their styles of working she added to her work ethic and accuracy in the studio. Upon graduating from high school she spent her undergraduate years as a Theater major learning and exploring the worlds of jazz and musical theatre. She then began singing professionally with a myriad of artists, bands and musicians. It was quite clear that Jasmyne Hinson is much more than a session singer or just a staple in the choir stand.

Too Good at Goodbyes - Sam Smith (cover by @MattBloyd)

When ya new favorite voice covers one of ya favorite voices!!!! Thats exactly what happened when Matt Bloyd chose to cover Sam Smith's new song "Too Good At Goodbyes" it feels a lot warmer then the original that haunts us when Sam sings it. We love how Matt put his own  twist on it and showed off that killer range that made us a fan from the  first day we heard him. Here is what Matt had to say about choosing the cover I am a huge fan of Sam Smith's voice and his artistry. After a two year hiatus, Sam is back with "Too Good at Goodbyes" and I could not be more excited. He's truly an inspiration. When I heard this song I KNEW I had to cover it and got right on it. Hope you love my take on this JAM.
